Overview
Tristan’s infectious passion for animal behavior and desire to communicate his results to the general public has also seen his work showcased on TV documentaries across the globe. Tristan's research has been featured on various specials for networks such as the BBC ‘Blue Planet Live’, National Geographic ‘Cannibal Sharks’ and Discovery Channels ‘Shark Week’. Further, he advised and presented on various celebrity specials for Shark Week including Michael Phelps ‘Great White vs. Great Gold’, Bear Grylls ‘Bear vs. Shark’, Josh Gates ‘Expedition Unknown: Megalodon’, Jeremy Wade ‘River Monsters’, Naked and Afraid, Shaquille O'Neal for ‘SHAQ does Shark Week’, Rob Riggle for ‘Guys Trip’, and many more. Tristan has a rare ability to make science entertaining, yet informative, and uses these skills, in addition to his extensive field experience, to create wildlife films that integrate tools from science and cinema to showcase animal behavior. He believes this form of communication can reveal important scientific insights into animal behavior, as well as generate interest and momentum for managing and conserving wildlife.

Tristan has worked with production companies for over 17 years, however since 2012 Tristan’s role and responsibilities have grown. Tristan is now more hands on than ever before; he manages and coordinates many productions, including the review and coordination of contracts, activities, flights, equipment and permits. Lastly, he has conceived ideas and acts as host or lead on-screen talent. This past few years his role in some shows has found him working behind the scenes on creatives which has seen him collect a number of prestigious co-executive producer credits for major networks.
